Used Dog Waste Bag Holder Atached To Dog Leash

Easily Affixed To Your Dog’s Leash — Keep Waste Away From Your Hands And Out Of Your Pocket!

Walking your dogs means dealing with the inevitable business of dog waste.  Have you ever reached into your pocket in search of something useful only to pull out a “used” poop bag?  For years I have thought there must be a better solution to the problem of disposing of dog waste. And now I have a solution of my very own I am excited to share with you. It’s my original Bag It Trash It brand used dog waste holder for used poop bags!

As every dog owner knows, there is always the problem of what to do with a used poop bag until either you return home or happen by a trash can. Holding used dog waste bags in your hand while managing a leash or two is cumbersome. You could leave a used dog waste bag by the curb with every good intention of picking it up later for disposal on the way back home later. How easy it is for you innocently to overlook that very good intention. I can’t count how many times I have had to retrace my steps because I forgot to pick up a used poop bag.

The typical solution is just to get that warm, mushy – and bad smelling – waste bag out of your hand! And so into your pocket it goes, where sometimes it is forgotten. You know the rest of that scenario. Yes, it is pretty gross! And I bet you’re chuckling to yourself right now because you’ve done it too.

Even more unappealing than finding a used dog waste bag in my pocket, is finding dog waste on my shoes. Sometimes this discovery is made only after walking into my house or stepping into my RV.  Dog owners, who do not clean up after their pets, deserve a special place in the dog pound.

A Ten Million Ton Health and Environmental Hazard

A Ten Million Ton Health and Environmental Hazard

Canine fecal matter is a public health hazard and an environmental pollutant. Nearly 80 million dogs in America each produce an average of ¾ pound of waste daily. Where does 10 million tons of dog waste go? www.doodycalls.com Well, rainwater eventually dilutes dog doody and carries the remaining solids and its bacteria to the water supply.

Pet waste is a host not only for bacteria. It is a carrier for parasites and diseases that can be transmitted to humans. Various worms contained in dog waste are transmittable to all of us, especially children. Let’s not forget that dog waste can carry salmonella and E. coli. www.cdc.gov/healthypets/pets/index/html

Most people are conscientious about avoiding littering; but, when it comes to their dogs, they seem to be less careful about leaving their dogs’ waste behind.  Ordinary litter is unsightly but typically harmless to the environment. Bottles, cans, and candy wrappers do not pose a human health hazard. Of course, we all agree that picking up dog waste is a very unappealing exercise. And getting rid of it after collecting it is surely inconvenient.

It is my hope that by spreading the word about the hazards of pet waste and asking my fellow dog owners to Bag It Trash It, we can work together to keep our neighborhoods, waterways, and our parks clean for the health of our kids and our pets.
